The Waterbury Campus Library is dedicated to serving the research needs of the students and faculty of the University of Connecticut. Upon entering the library on the Waterbury campus, the first thing you’ll likely notice are all of the books. We have a lot of them! And, there are millions more throughout the UConn system, all of which you have access to.
But, we have so much more than books! We have individual and collaborative study spaces on all three floors, group study rooms, Windows and Mac workstations, a podcast studio, the Writing Center, video and image editing support, and, of course, books. Student Health & Wellness (SHaW) is dedicated to supporting students' physical and mental well-being through comprehensive healthcare services. - Waterbury Campus Nurse Navigators: A nurse navigator is a nurse that can guide students, offer support, education, advocate, and assist with coordination of care for acute or chronic healthcare needs including referrals to medical services in the community. A nurse is available for students on campus or through our 24/7 advice nurse line at 860-486-4700. This is a free and confidential resource.
- Clinical Case Manager for Mental Health Services: Our mental health professionals can provide short-term counseling. For students seeking more intensive treatment, our mental health case managers can connect students to appropriate local providers with experience working with college students.

The Center for International Students and Scholars (CISS) opened in July 2022 to create a welcoming space for international students and visiting scholars and bring together services for international students and visiting scholars at the Storrs campus.

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at UConn Waterbury is a member-driven program offering non-credit learning experiences (courses, lectures, and special events) to all adults who are 50 or older and want to engage socially and intellectually with their peers as teachers and learners. Student Health & Wellness (SHaW) is dedicated to supporting students' physical and mental well-being through comprehensive healthcare services. - Waterbury Campus Nurse Navigators: A nurse navigator is a nurse that can guide students, offer support, education, advocate, and assist with coordination of care for acute or chronic healthcare needs including referrals to medical services in the community. A nurse is available for students on campus or through our 24/7 advice nurse line at 860-486-4700. This is a free and confidential resource.
- Clinical Case Manager for Mental Health Services: Our mental health professionals can provide short-term counseling. For students seeking more intensive treatment, our mental health case managers can connect students to appropriate local providers with experience working with college students.

Office of Student Care and Concern, centrally located on the Storrs Campus, is committed to the mission of the University of Connecticut by providing intervention and support for those students that are in distress or a possible threat to self or others. The office coordinates a response that balances the needs of the individual student with the safety and welfare of the University community.
Any referrals of a student of concern who may be of threat to themselves or others should be reported via a CARE Team Referral.

Campus Safety
The UConn Police Department Waterbury Substation is located on the ground floor of the UConn Waterbury's main building. Police Officers are responsible for public safety in the main building as well as an attached parking facility. In addition to normal police patrols, there are emergency phones and remote cameras throughout the facility which assist police in providing a safe atmosphere within which students, staff, faculty and visitors may pursue their educational goals.
