As the Executive Assistant to the Vice Provost for Faculty, Staff, and Student development, Amanda Pitts designs and executes high-profile, high-impact events that drive a culture of inclusiveness, engagement, and positive faculty and staff experiences. Working closely with University partners, she oversees all aspects of faculty awards, the Life-Transformative Education initiative, and orientation programming for new faculty and academic leadership.
Amanda is an established expert in the event planning industry with a unique combination of 10+ years of experience in meeting and conference planning. Prior to coming to UConn, she served as the personal assistant and household manager of an estate where she organized household affairs and coordinated events; and before that, she was the senior admissions consultant at Liberty University, where she promoted the university at conferences and events nationally. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration and Marketing from Liberty University.
