Interfolio @ UConn

Interfolio @ UConn

UConn will implement Interfolio's Promotion, Tenure, and Review module beginning with the Academic Year 2023-2024 PTR cycle. Following a review process of competing products, the Office of the Provost selected Interfolio for their faculty-focused and integrated module to streamline and digitize the PTR review process.

The Interfolio workflow platform supports the Provost's goals of simplifying the application process for faculty while promoting compliance and access. The stages of implementation and project updates can be found on this page. As the project progresses, job aids, resources, and other training materials will be updated on this page.

What is Interfolio?

Interfolio hosts a suite of faculty information system modules geared towards higher education institutions. Interfolio modules in use by UConn will be accessible via a single, streamlined platform for managing the PTR process, and faculty will have access to a streamlined tool to assemble, label, arrange, and submit their formal packet. The system helps keep the review process professional and standardized and ensures that all faculty members have a consistent means to represent their scholarly activities.

PTR case reviewers will be able to review applicant materials, solicit external and internal letters of review and recommendation, share candidate materials with the appropriate University administrators, and vote on promotion and tenure decisions within the new platform.

Modules Implemented at UConn

  • Dossier: Dossier is an online platform for faculty to collect and curate scholarly materials in a single, secure file management module. Faculty may curate academic materials and evidence in Dossier throughout the year and easily integrate into their PTR case.
  • Promotion, Tenure, and Reappointment: The PTR module supports the collection of review materials and approval workflows for promotion, tenure, and reappointment cases. The module consists of workflow templates that govern every type of academic review case at UConn.
