Life Threatening Emergency – Call 911
If you are experiencing a serious and immediate life-threatening crisis, please bypass calling Student Health and Wellness and immediately call 911 or the UConn Police Department- (860) 486-4800.
Although most people associate calling 911 with medical emergencies, they also support people with mental health emergencies such as thoughts of suicide.


Student Health and Wellness (SHaW) Pharmacy offers prescription services, over-the-counter medications, and expert guidance from licensed pharmacists. Shop OTC products through SHaW's online marketplace and use their convenient curbside pick-up.
Wellness-to-Go Vending machine
Purchase over-the-counter (OTC) items anytime from our Wellness-to-Go vending machine, located on the main floor of the Student Union near the info desk and One Card office.

SHaW offers free Nutrition Counseling with a Registered Dietitian to support a range of concerns from food allergies and GI issues to eating disorders and fitness nutrition.
Services begin with a 45–60 minute virtual appointment to assess your health history, goals, and needs.

We also provide Physical Activity Counseling to help students start or improve exercise routines, regardless of experience level.

SHaW offers support for students in or seeking recovery from substance use and mental health challenges. Services include one-on-one recovery coaching, peer and family meetings, and social/service opportunities. We also promote a recovery-friendly campus to help students thrive in wellness and self-directed living.

SHaW provides comprehensive sexual and reproductive health care, including gynecological services, STI testing and treatment, contraceptive options, gender-affirming care, and access to free period products and safer sex supplies.
