Office of Community Standards Expand

The Office of Community Standards, centrally located on the Storrs Campus, strives to facilitate a climate that promotes integrity, responsibility, and accountability within the University of Connecticut community.

Through the implementation of an ethic of care and concern that promotes the fair, transparent, and compassionate application of published institutional standards and expectations, OCS aims to thoroughly investigate and resolve allegations of student behavioral harm to the UConn community in an educational and restorative manner. Responsibilities of Community Life: The Student Code speaks to what we want to be as well as how we want to interact with each other within our campus community.

The Center for Students with Disabilities (CSD) at UConn is dedicated to ensuring a fully accessible and inclusive university experience for all students. Through individualized support and an interactive process, the CSD collaborates with students, faculty, and staff to determine and implement appropriate accommodations that promote equal access to academic programs, services, and campus life. Services include academic, residential, and campus access accommodations, as well as programs like Beyond Access and CSDTech, which offer personalized support and assistive technology resources. Office of Care and Concern Expand

The Office of Student Care and Concern (OSCC) at UConn provides support for students experiencing distress or personal challenges. Through individualized outreach and coordination with campus partners, OSCC helps students access resources that promote their well-being and academic success. The office also facilitates the Student Care Team, a multidisciplinary group that evaluates and responds to behaviors that may pose a threat to the student or the community. By balancing individual needs with community safety, OSCC plays a vital role in fostering a supportive and responsive campus environment.
