The Provost is the University’s chief academic officer and is responsible for all academic programs at the main campus in Storrs, at the four regional campuses at Avery Point, Hartford, Stamford, and Waterbury, the School of Law in Hartford, and the Schools of Medicine and Dental Medicine at UConn Health in Farmington. Provost Mun Y. Choi

Provost Choi joined UConn as Dean of Engineering and professor of Mechanical Engineering in 2008. After serving as Interim Provost for six months, he was appointed Provost on December 10, 2012.

Provost Choi earned his B.S. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University.
